Muslim Journeys: A World Café
Tuesday, April 2nd, 7-9 p.m.
Downtown Fargo Public Library, Community Room.
Please join a diverse Community Conversation about the The Muslim Journeys Bookshelf and three of its key themes: historical connections between Islam and Christianity, pathways of faith, and American Muslim stories. This event will introduce the Muslim Journeys Bookshelf, a collection of books and media curated by the National Endowment for the Humanities and awarded to the Fargo Public Library in partnership with the College of Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences. Participants will be encouraged to engage in small group conversations about the bookshelf themes, with the goal of strengthening Fargo’s role and reputation as a being a welcoming community for people of all faiths and nationalities. Kevin Brooks, professor of English at NDSU, will host the event. This event is free and open to the public; refreshments will be provided.
Betsy did all the hard work and I get to try out The Art of Hosting.
