When your family is under fire. . .

My friend from South Kivu province in the Democratic Republic of Congo told me that her family members back home have seen the security situation go from bad to awful. Power is generally off. Guns are always firing. At least the soldiers haven’t started going house to house killing people and taking their stuff, she said.  Maybe I should sponsor their resettlement, she added, but that will take 6-9 years.
